An old car lot can look new! See for yourself how this PA used car lot revamped their curb appeal with just one custom rail!

This car lot was undergoing an expansion adding additional showrooms to their site. They needed Iron railings to meet code requirements, as well as boost their visual appeal! The two area that needed railings were the ramp for the main showroom entrance, and the handicap ramp.

We aren’t just about the looks around here though! Instead of using traditional Iron railing material, we utilized high grade aluminum material. This allows for rust-resistance and very low maintenance of the railings! The main ramp railing structure was 1  5/8” outside diameter with solid aluminum 5/8” round railing pickets.

To add a custom special touch to the rails we created an oval with the logo: a truck silhouette, inside it. This silhouette was laser-cut and welded into place in the center of the front railing. See how it turned out in the picture below!

Another unique challenge for this project was that the main showroom ramp was utilized to take cars in and out of the showroom. The main showroom doors had to open a full 90 degrees to allow enough room for a car to pass. So, we came up with a  solution that  mechanically fastened the post’s base to the concrete. This allowed us to offset the railing on either side of ramp. The entire commercial railing project was powder-coated a beautiful warm hue of statuary bronze that really enhanced the front impression of this business in southeastern PA. Now you can go see it and enjoy the beauty of this new rail in an old car for years to come!

Mr. Amos Glick and staff at Compass Ironworks built and provided me with a customized automatic gate. From the very beginning of the project, they were passionate and attentive to my family’s special needs. Their skill and care in every detail of the gate, size, style, material and color, matching our landscape, was well thought out and well crafted. They were able to also give the exact various automation modes my family had requested.

I am very much satisfied with the superb work done and would recommend Compass Ironworks whole heartily to anyone seeking personalized care and excellent workmanship.

We had a railing, designed, created, and installed by Compass Ironworks. Amos and Aaron were extremely professional. They kept us informed of how things were progressing. We even visited the shop when the railing was almost complete. We HIGHLY recommend Compass Ironworks! We have had several people knock on our door to ask about who made our beautiful railing. Thank you for your hard work!

I have been meaning to call you about all the wonderful details of our railing. First of all, it’s beautiful. It is made exactly like we wanted, and it is sturdy just the way we wanted. Ben, Alvin, and John were right on the ball. They knew what they were doing. They were in and out of there, but still took the time necessary to do what they needed to do. And it looks beautiful! My wife came home and she had tears in her eyes and she was all tickled, and that was wonderful. We’re going to recommend you to all our friends, family, and neighbors. We’ll definitely give you a call. Feel free to use me as a reference. I will recommend you to anyone I know or meet. Thank you, Sir and have a good day.
