A client was building an exceptional home in Delaware. Behind the house featured a sensational pool and outdoor living area. Code requires a fence around a pool for safety. They decided on a custom aluminum pool fence to match the exterior railing design. The design had ¾” sq. solid aircraft grade aluminum pickets, with a rectangular design accent created from upgraded 1” solid material. The swimming pool design joints were created to be inconspicuous with machined ship lap joints. With welding and sanding, the joint became visually unnoticeable. The pool fence design had an additional horizontal bar channel to add character and uniqueness.
Another request from the client was to have a portion of the pool fence to be removable in the event that they wanted to move equipment into the pool area. There was an additional fence and gate section on the basement level, at the bottom of the basement steps for us to create as well. This location of the pool gate and fence created less obstruction of the panoramic view from the pool deck and dining area. All the pool gates had heavy duty self-closing hinges and latches to meet swimming pool code requirements.
The posts were built from 4” square structural material. We raised all the corners and the center of all four sides had a raised rectangular pattern to enhance the design. The post bade had raised trim as well at the top of the post. It also featured a shoulder and dome cap.
The swimming pool fence design was then finished with a beautiful matte black powder-coat finish that is eco-friendly and durable. Now completed, this project will provide beauty and safety for this pool and dining area in Delaware for many years.
