It was a pleasure to work with Amos Glick of Compass Iron Works in restoring portions of the railings surrounding the three decks of our Margate, New Jersey summer home. Due to the home’s close proximity to the beach and ocean, the restoration needed to consider the impact of a harsher than normal environment on the coating system to be used. I found Amos to be very knowledgeable in this area.

From the initial concept to final installation, Compass Ironworks did an outstanding job with the finished details of our new dream house.

We had aluminum railings on our summer home with finish that was peeling off, making the whole thing look nasty. After repeated attempts to correct the problem, a builder/developer friend of ours recommended Compass Ironworks. They looked at the project, explained why the peeling had occurred and offered us a solution.
 
They took out about 600 feet of our aluminum railing, welded, and repaired it where needed, sandblasted, primed, and re-powder-coated, then re-installed it. They completely restored the aluminum to a like-new luster, which is just what they said they would do.

It’s been three years since we completed the wrought iron fencing around our pool. The fencing system had been thoroughly reviewed by our code enforcement officer who has subsequently risen to Township Manager. Then, as well as today, he has expressed admiration and approval of the meticulous design, anchoring, and gate work that this project required. I’ve seen you two other times, each at your discretion, when your yearly inspections revealed minor issues, which were quickly addressed. A visit to your shop reinforced my impression that I was working with a professional team, which took pride in each phase of the project.
